The all-new and completely redesigned Jeep Wrangler — the latest incarnation of the most capable SUV ever — will hit New Zealand showrooms in early July with prices starting from a recommended retail price of $67,990 plus on-the-road costs.

Showcasing a unique blend of contemporary design that also remains authentic to the Wrangler’s iconic history, the all-new Wrangler combines advanced safety and technological features with unrivalled 4×4 capabilities.

Powered by the class-leading 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 Petrol Engine paired with the new TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and feature Stop-Start (ESS) technology, the new Jeep Wrangler offers superb performance, fuel economy and towing ability on and off-road.

“The all-new Wrangler may have evolved, but its core DNA remains unchanged, making this the most capable production SUV on the planet. The Jeep Wrangler sets a new benchmark by offering renewed levels of style, advanced technology and safety features while remaining true to its rich heritage,” says Lawrie Malatios, Group Marketing and Sales Manager of Fiat Chrysler New Zealand.

“The new Wrangler range offers something for everyone; whether customers are looking for the fully loaded all-new Sport S, the refined yet rugged Overland model or the Rubicon variant for the ultimate off-roader,” Mr Malatios says. “There is, quite simply no better, no more capable vehicle in which to explore and enjoy New Zealand’s great outdoors while appreciating new levels of comfort and safety!”

The entire range comes with more than 70 standard and available active and passive safety features including Auto Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, ParkView Rear Backup Camera with Dynamic Grid Lines, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM).

The all-new JL Wrangler also boasts premium technological features, with 7.0” Uconnect touch screen display housing the fourth-generation Uconnect system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available as standard in the Sport S, and an 8.4-inch display standard on all other variants. LED headlamps and tail lamps also feature as standard on the Overland and Rubicon.

Significant improvements have been made to the on-road driving dynamics with subtle changes to the iconic features including a slightly tilted windscreen, a new tilted version of the iconic Jeep keystone-shaped grille, vented hood and a tapering C-pillar. These modifications have considerably reduced wind noise and improved fuel efficiency by over 13%, without straying from the classic instantly recognisable body for which Jeep Wrangler is globally renowned.

Customers will be able to enhance their new JL Wrangler with over 130 MOPAR accessories covering everything from exterior styling, storage versatility, vehicle protection and driver convenience.

Jeep Wrangler Sport S and Overland are all equipped with Select-Trac Full Time 4×4 System set for serious exploration. Sport S comes standard with the V6 Pentastar 3.6-litre Petrol Engine and ZF 8-Speed Automatic Transmission and replaces the previous “Sport” trim.
